Toast to Tuesday: Love of the Tunic

by Rachel Yeomans | November 2nd, 2010

The clocks will change in just under a week. The temperature has dropped that noticeable extra 10 degrees. And I have already noticed my reflex into dressing in winter-wear. My cold-weather wardrobe ranges from wool slacks to lined skirts and dresses, however if I’m going to ‘grab-and-go’, I opt for usually the same attire: Skinny black trousers, a tunic, and a coat or blazer.

I don’t know what it is about the long fitted top, but I’m absolutely obsessed with them. When I’m not at the office, most assuredly you can find me in a long sweater or tunic with leggings and chunky knee-high socks. So this is my version of my favorite comfort-attire in a work-appropriate format. Add to that an extra-long knit scarf, gloves, and my travel coffee mug, then you get a very clear idea on what I wore to work today!

I love tunics, but I have a hard time finding work appropriate (business casual law office) ones. Any suggestions as to where to find some?

If you dont mind me asking, where did you find those black trousers? I've been on a mission to find a cute pair for ages, and have not had luck!

Agreed, tunics make you feel so cozy and comfy, but still look polished!
