Toast to Tuesday: Going Green!

As I have been in and out of stores like CUSP, Saks, Intermix and many others it seems as though there has been an overwhelming amount of army green. I have seen so many different items in this color including blazers, button downs, jeans, that if I somehow missed this fall’s military trend, I now am facing it head on!

I love the earth-tone of the military green, which compliments many of the fall colors such as bronzes, reds, browns and purples. However, while this color is definitely hot right now, try not to get carried away and keep your army green to a maximum of one piece per outfit in this color. We’re all about going green but there’s a difference between working it and it working you! That doesn’t mean you have to ditch the military style in its entirety though – above we have a few options of incorporating the military style jacket in multiple styles and colors.

Military Trend at the Office by WorkWardrobe featuring feather earrings

Usually we’ve seen the military trend on the streets with skinny jeans and strappy sandals – a very cute ensemble however definitely not appropriate for the workplace. Here’s an outfit that we put together that would totally work the office. One thing to keep note of is that the military style is definitely more masculine. Try to add some color and flirty accessories to your outfit to ‘lady up’ the look.

Do you don the military style at work? Submit a picture to our Twitter or Facebook account! Or you can email it to rachel@theworkingwardrobe.com.
