As we get into the final months of summer (I can’t believe it’s almost over), it is time to shift gears into our fall looks. It is time to put away the neon colors, bright yellows, and pinks and take out the deeper reds, blues, and grays. To me, it is often refreshing to see the change in seasons as summer colors eventually get to be tough on the eyes.
In the set above I have compiled an outfit that could be worn to office event such as a dinner meeting, or party. You can easily transition this look from day to evening simply by adding a black two-button fitted blazer or wrapped silk jacket.
I am loving this deep red pleated dress for fall, as it is extremely flattering and stylish. You could pair this dress with black tights depending on the weather and as for accessories, keep it simple with perhaps one statement piece. Match your bag to you shoes; I personally think black suede ankle boots are perfect for this outfit and a bib necklace to add a little sparkle to the ensemble.
Although it still may hang with humidity outside, that slight draft of cool air at times brings the hint that something a seasonal shift is just around the corner. Make sure you’re prepared for it just as you are for your morning meeting!
