Wow, I’ve really been on a blazer kick lately, huh? I can’t help it! Blazers are under-rated, and such a great way to add a polished edge to your ensemble. Throw them on with a pair of nice jeans and great heels and it’s such an easy, effortless way to look like the consummate professional.
And don’t even get me started on tweed blazers. They’re classic and just special. They give off such a bookish, academic vibe, and they’re so much fun to play with in terms of style. You can dress them up or down, reinvent them in so many ways, and it’s just great.
Today, I’m keeping things very simple with this great tweed blazer I found at Bonanzle. It’s in a limited size, but I really wanted a brown one, although a grey one would work just as well. I’ve added a grey one after the outfit just in case anyone wants to check that out. Naturally, I’d recommend wearing that with black shoes instead of brown.

I picked a pair of dark blue jeans and a crisp white button down shirt. Classic, simple, professional, and the collared shirt really dresses up the jeans. There’s that blazer I love, and to keep with the brown tones, I went with matching dark brown shoes but picked a brown belt that was brighter, tan instead of dark, just to kind of make it stand out. A simple, delicate gold necklace finishes off the outfit and adds a little shine and glitz.
And since the brown tweed is only available in one size, here’s a grey blazer I like that would work just as well, and you can match it with a pair of black shoes instead of brown, and a black or grey belt. Heck, even white would work because of the tweed pattern.
The grey tweed blazer is $30 and available at Urban Outfitters.
And there we have a business casual outfit straight from the halls of academia!
