I have always liked wrap dresses, mostly because of how convenient they are. You just toss them on, tie them up, step into some heels and, boom! An outfit! But what if there was a way to make them … easier?
Brace yourselves, folks. Because the outfit I put together for today features … a faux-wrap dress.
I know! It’s astounding! Fashion has taken a leap fifty years into the future! All this time, we’ve been wrapping our dresses like chumps! No more! In all that extra free time you’ll have from no longer needing to tie your dress, you could learn a new language!
All joking aside, the faux-wrap dress I picked for today is from Jessica Simpson’s fashion line, which I’ve actually been pleasantly surprised by. I haven’t bought anything yet, but a lot of my friends have and they really like her dresses, shoes, and handbags.
(I was not compensated in any way to endorse Jessica Simpson’s fashion line.)
Let’s take a look at what I did:
Very simple, but stylish. The wrap dress is convenient and quick – just toss it on and go. It hits the knees and has 3/4 length sleeves, which make it totally work-appropriate, and the vertical stripes are flattering – as is the cut of the dress itself.
I tossed in some berry purple shoes to work with the purple in the dress. Purple shoes are under-rated. Toss on silver bangles or a pretty cuff and you’ve got a great outfit for work that comes in well under $100.
