I’ll admit, late fall and winter are not my favorite time of year. It’s cold and windy and there’s always frost in the morning that needs to be scraped off the cars, and you know it’s going to start snowing any day now. It’s terrible. If only mid-fall could melt into late-spring.
One of very few things I actually like about this time of the year, though, is that sweater dresses are a perfectly logical, comfy form of attire, and they work great at the office, too. Here’s what I came up with for today:
This outfit is incredibly simple, and I like it that way. You can jazz it up with whatever accessories are quintessentially you: an armful of metal bangles, dangly earrings, anything. The outfit itself is comfortable, soothing in its neutral colors, and totally cozy and functional.
I went with a pretty sweater dress from Calvin Klein. I like little details like asymmetrical necklines (although my favorite is the boatneck!). Since the dress is not over the knee, and I often err on the side of conservative, I paired the dress with black leggings and then found warm brown boots. They’re flat, so you can run around all day, through sleet and snow and puddles, and not miss a step, all the while staying warm and bundled up in this great dress.
And there we have it!
