Calling all east-coasters! Internships on the east coast can definitely vary depending on the position but generally the constant theme we see on this end of the map is preppy and plain. When being in an environment where the ¬†form of dress is “plain Jane”, it can feeling boring and even difficult to create enough outfits to have the same look.

Here are a few pointers: Pick out a few pairs of skinny jeans, dress pants, or whatever is appropriate in your office. Next step is load up on the cardigans; they are usually flattering, easy to take on and off, and come in a lot of different styles. Under the cardigan you can always wear a button down collared shirt (super prepped out) or just a plain shirt. By interchanging the cardigan, pants, and a pair of calf-high boots you can make enough outfits to get you through your internship!
