From the Classroom to the Cubicle: 1 Pair of Jeans, 3 Outfits!

Have you ever opened your closet, tried on all of your jeans…twice, and still felt unsatisfied with your outfit? I know I have. There is nothing like a Monday morning when you have over slept, can’t pick out an outfit, and have to twenty minutes to put on a happy face and get to your internship.

One way to solve this issue is to plan the night ahead. We all know that those of us who have the time to plan have a great luxury but for the rest of us it can be kind of a pain when you are trying to do a hundred other things for your classes (and still leave time to watch: Kell On Earth, Lost, and American Idol).  So for those of us who don’t choose to plan there is another option, use one pair of jeans to create multiple outfits.

Here’s how: I suggest a pair of J Brand dark skinny’s but if you already have a pair of jeans that you love, and think are appropriate for an internship (totally depends on the type of internship) then those would work too! You can make a completely different outfit using the same dark jeans just by switching the top and accessories. You can either dress it up with a blazer or dress it down with a pair of ankle boots. Adding a belt to your jeans is a simple way to add some style to your workday. If you spend your paycheck on the right pair of jeans it can be a quick fix to the ever so draining problem of not having enough work outfits (and maybe even leave time in the morning for breakfast)!
