Business Casual Superstar: The Fall Standby of the Warm Tunic

Fall is just around the corner – in fact, it’s already arrived, depending on where you are in the country. We’ve been lucky in my neck of the woods here in the Midwest; the weather has been quite pleasant, and we have yet to feel a nip in the air.

Those slightly cool days are perfect sweater-weather, and one of my favorite fall pieces is the sweater-tunic. Just a step below sweater dresses, tunics run a little long and create a sleek, feminine silhouette while keeping you warm and cozy as the seasons change.

Let’s take a look at what I did today:

Short Sleeved Striped Tunic ………. $24.99
Moa Moa Basic Leggings in Black ………. $12
Dollhouse Knee High Boots in Black ………. $41.95
Segmented Cuff ………. $18

If you feel this outfit might be too casual for your office, you’re probably right. Err on the side of caution, or wear this on a Casual Friday just to be safe.

For plenty of offices, though, there is nothing wrong with this outfit, so here we go.

I found a pretty, snuggly belted tunic that I like a lot. The belt cinches in the waist and creates a nice hourglass shape. I paired it with leggings, which aren’t going to be as bulky as jeans underneath. It’s not that you couldn’t wear jeans with this tunic; you absolutely could, but you would probably want to go for skinnies.

I tucked the black leggings into black boots, which are comfortable to walk around in and add a little unexpected edge to the outfit. In the way of jewelry, I added some sparkle and interest with a silver cuff bracelet that brightens up the whole look.

It’s an easy, simple, cozy outfit that’s perfect for autumn, and the best part is that it’s just under $100!
