Everyone always has one lacking item in the wardrobe. For me, that item is the skirt. I have enough dresses for several closets and tops and bottoms to last a few seasons, but when I think I may want to wear a dress, I’m stuck with few options. So today I am coveting some looks centered around the skirt in hopes to build that portion of my working wardrobe. I love the hint of leg that isn’t ‘too much’ by this Alberto Biani skirt, and the color and slight ruffle keep it professional but still fun and interesting.
I love the cut and color of this Class Roberto Cavalli skirt. The higher and defined waist is super slimming and the plum is a great statement color that won’t clash with any basics. Plus the pop of pattern on the sides adds fantastic character without being too distracting (and without causing your hips to look bigger than they actually are).
I have a weakness for yellow. It’s fun, it’s bright and it makes me think of skipping along on a spring day with a tucked in camisole and cardigan with mary jane pumps. Only a few more months until winter is over! Until then, this brightly hued Jean-Charles de Castelbajac skirt is waiting for when I’m ready – along with the weather – to start skipping.
