Today’s Coveted Working Look: St. John Works the Faux Wrap Dress

Four out of the five days of the work week, I usually end up wearing what I have coined, “My work staples”. These clothes fit me well, go with everything, and still elicit compliments from others. More importantly: I don’t have to think when getting ready for work in the morning. This faux wrap dress from St. John embodies that combination of ease and chic.

I love faux wrap dresses because when tying any fabric, you end up with bunching and the chance of gaping or worse, untying. The faux wrap gives the flattering lines of the wrap, but without the fret attached to it. We’re at work – the last thing we want to feel is uncomfortable walking the hallways.

Also, the sleeve length on this dress is fantastic! It’s so hard finding long-sleeved dresses and tops that are actually long enough to cover the wrist. So when you see a proper long-sleeved garment, grab it! Plus, with long sleeves, it’s that much more fun to roll them up to get some work done.
