Today’s Coveted Working Look: Milly Works the Sheath Dress

by Rachel Yeomans | July 11th, 2011

I’m usually not the biggest proponent of some of the what has been termed ‘Navajo-Inspirations’ seen on the Fall runways, however there have been a few designers I’ve seen pull it off in an amazingly chic way. This Milly dress, for example. The colors are absolutely stunning, and the cut, length detailing of the buttons add a bit of conservative to the dress, making it an ideal stand-out for office workwear.

But wait, there’s more! The thick bands for the cross-back takes a usually very sexy look and turns it glamorous. Granted, wearing this at the office without a cropped blazer is not advised. However, after work, ditch the blazer and wear this out on a terrace at happy hour cocktails and you have an ideal ‘work to evening’ look!

I think that the versatility on this dress is amazing. You are exactly right, the front is conservative while the back is so sexy, <3 it

This is an adorable dress...and it's on sale! I agree with you, the colors I've seen for fall haven't been really inspiring for me, but on this dress it seems to work.
