Today’s Coveted Working Look: Finding the Perfect Handbag for Work

by Rachel Yeomans | January 13th, 2012

I have carried the exact same Kenneth Cole oversized purse (aka my “laptop bag”) since I was a senior in college. You can imagine the state that it’s in. The time had come to retire the bag. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no other handbags that can hold my MacBook – not even my iPad! No offense to my lovely clutches and satchels, but I am now on an official hunt for my next handbag for work! Here are several that caught my eye. Should I get the adorable yellow bucket tote from Diane von Furstenberg? Or the professorial Kate Spade, Mismo or Pendleton? Do you have a bag that you swear by that I should purchase without hesitation? Please share!

Oh man, I could talk for ages about this one. I'd say anything from J.Crew, though some of their bags aren't big enough. I'm partial to my Alesya Bag -- I carry it everyday, and it can hold several notebooks and my laptop with no problems! http://alesyabags.com/

@annedreshfield Anne! I've missed your comments - welcome back! :) You told me about Aleysa Bags before - I signed up for their waiting list actually - I desperately want the Kelly Green bag. I ended up finding a great Kate Spade laptop bag on sale (http://pinterest.com/pin/194710383859384359/), but it still demands that I carry a smaller satchel to hold my wallet, sunglasses, etc. The Alesya is next on my list once bags are available again!
