For those of you who didn’t make it to the Gold Coast Fashion Awards on Wednesday, you had the chance to catch some of the styles straight off the runway the following evening at Chicago’s hot boutique Lissa On Maxwell. In the architecturally ingenious space, store owner Lissa Shipley featured a rack of off-the-runway pieces by designer Thuy for shoppers to get first dibs. We sipped champagne, nibbled on cheese, and made just a few guilty purchases – Guilty in the sense that I wasn’t planning on buying anything and admittedly did; not guilty in the fact that I will live in the items I bought as they’re ideal for every working and non-working scenario. If you weren’t able to make it, she is having some amazing liquidation sales that no shopper should pass up! How’s that for a smart start to your weekend?
