After the working day this past Friday, a group of women gathered in the heart of Chicago’s career epicenter to discuss their jobs. However we didn’t discuss ledgers or meetings or proposals – we discussed fashion, specifically work fashion. Over wine and cheese at office furniture giant’s, Kimball Office, showroom, an independent consultant showcased the Fall 2009 collection of CAbi. At the beginning of the evening, she showcased each piece within the collection and offered different ideas for a working look. Pretty soon, we took the next step to see how those looks would work for us. Several faux cat walks and change sessions later, we filled out our order forms, gave one final toast, and relished the concept of how CAbi offered up blouses and slacks but made each wearable, comfortable, and extremely chic to make a statement throughout any workday.
