Stephanie Johnson is only 36 but, when the economy forced her out of a job, she decided it was time to implement her retirement plan.
“I had always thought in my mind that I would have my own resale boutique,” Johnson said. “I said, ‘Let’s just go for it now.’ ”
Today, she opens the doors to Urban Exchange, a consignment shop for “fashion-driven women.”
Located in the former home of Baribeau’s Jewelry Hospital at 926 E. Fulton St., the shop features hip, high-quality, name-brand fashions for professional women.
