Handbag Without the Hurt. How Worth it is the Sore Shoulder?

I don’t know about you, but my handbag holds my life. Whenever I go to a function and I see women carry those small shoulder bags, I always ponder how they can fit everything into such a small bag…or how they don’t need everything with them 24/7 like yours truly. A result of my life being carried with me from A to B to G to W back to A again is usually a want of sleep and a very sore shoulder. I came across the Fashion RX for heavy bags and it offered some guidelines on carrying around one’s life pain-free. Here’s what they had to say:

* Look for a bag with wide straps (at least 1 1/2 inches.)

* With a long strap bag, let the bag rest at the waist (preferably pulled to the front or set on the small of the back to allow for balanced loading.)

* Alternate sides when carrying a bag every 10-15 minutes.

* Don’t carry a bag larger in pounds than your dress size. (e.g. 12 lbs. for size 12).

I have to admit, rather than sacrifice style with those “adorable” rolling briefcases, I may just add more appointments with my chiropractor.
