Last Wednesday from 1-5pm Central Time, TopShop hosted a VIP shopping day prior to its new Chicago store opening for Chicago’s Fashion’s Night Out held the following day on Thursday, September 8th. It was so much fun seeing the layout of the new 3-level store without the huge crowds that were about to invade it in less than 24 hours.
The entry floor featured so many fantastic statement pieces of clothing and accessories, and what I loved was that mannequins throughout the floor showcased the items in ingenious layering techniques. If you’re going for work wear, the lower floor is for you. It featured blazers, blouses, and some wide leg pants that I may have to go back for.
And don’t worry, dear working men, you have not been left behind. The top level of the TopShop Chicago store showcases the menswear items. And yes, one whole section of the store featured suits! This is not only UK fashion coming to the Midwest, but it offers more options for your work wear. Plus there were a few items that are available only in the Chicago TopShop store. Makes you feel special, doesn’t it?
The price point throughout the store is extremely reasonable with most items hovering in the $130 range. Therefore if you’re looking to update your wardrobe with some edgy work pieces or some statement layers for Fall without the hefty price point, TopShop may feature just what you’re looking for!
