Weaving A World Record With ‘Wrapped In Merino’
By Emma Pretto
How would you like to design a virtual scarf, share it with friends through social media, contribute to a world record, AND have a chance to win a weekly prize pack?! The Woolmark Company and the We Love Wool Community have launched the ‘Wrapped In Merino’ campaign where you can do all of these things!
Once you upload your photo to the ‘Wrapped In Merino’ website, you can choose from a variety of styles, patterns, and colors to design a custom virtual scarf. Your newly accessorized portrait will then be joined with the hundreds of other unique creations to work toward the World’s Longest Social Scarf.
Even better, when you submit your photo, you’ll automatically be entered to win one of eight fashion prize packs, including Net-A-Porter vouchers and Merino wool scarves! You can enter each week for more chances to win and post your scarf on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to share with your friends. I may have had a little too much fun! I couldn’t stop with just a scarf for myself, so I also designed color-coordinated ones for my boyfriend and cat.
As you can see, when I submitted my photos there were already over 500 virtual scarves! Try your hand at weaving a world record with ‘Wrapped In Merino.’ We have written in the past about accessorizing your work outfits with spring and summer scarves; let’s start this workwear look with some social styling. Please share yours in the comments! We’d love to see what you come up with!

This is such a cool idea! I'll have to play around with it later.
