Wardrobe Therapy: Personal Stylists and Why We Love Them
In today’s working world there isn’t always time to shop or keep up with the latest fashions and if you’re like me, your working wardrobe could use a serious update. Well fret not more, Personal Stylist Crystall Benjamin to the rescue!
Benjamin’s job is to help her clients with what ever their styling needs are; from updating their work look, to reinvigorating their closet, getting her clients wardrobes ready for exotic vacations, or consulting on the perfect red carpet look. Each client and their needs are different, Benjamin explains, it’s like a scavenger hunt searching through all of Los Angeles’s tiny boutiques and vintage shops to find unique pieces to brighten up a simple look. (Personally, I wished that I had someone like Benjamin in my life when moving from cold and snowy Chicago to sunny Los Angeles.)
I had the pleasure of watching Benjamin work with my good friend Olivia to update her work wardrobe. Olivia is transitioning into a new career and needs a more polished professional look. Here are some of the new pieces that Benjamin help Olivia shop for.

When looking for a Personal Stylist it’s important to remember that it’s like picking a hair stylist or a therapist – you want to make sure that your personalities mesh so that you get the most from you experience. Benjamin gets most of her clients from word of mouth, but most high end clothing retailers have Personal Stylist available by appointment. For a busy woman who wants to look modern and fashionable but just doesn’t have to time to keep up with the trends, a Personal Stylist is a great way to go.
