Business travel essentials are usually designated as almost a completely separate wardrobe, toiletries and accessories section of your wardrobe. For me at times, my carry on never remains completely unpacked. But for those who don’t often travel for work, the question looms, “What to wear to the airport?” Out of all of my staples for business travel, my staple is the layering piece. I know, I write way too much about layering, but it’s important! And when you have that extra layer, you’re always grateful. My two main “layering” items when traveling are my sunglasses and a shawl or cardigan wrap.
Make sure the cardigan wrap or shawl doesn’t wrinkle and is easily able to be bundled into your “personal item” (your purse or briefcase). Your sunglasses mainly help with masking the fact that you’ve been traveling all day, at least until you can get to the airport bathroom to adjust your makeup.
