Today’s Coveted Working Look: Diane Von Furstenberg Linda Sweater Wrap Dress

by Anne Dreshfield | June 17th, 2013

This happens every single summer: I start to check out the websites of my favorite stores and designers, and they’re suddenly filled to the brim with previews of fall and winter lines. What? I always say to myself. It’s barely even June!

Well, that time is upon us yet again. I’ve been inundated with messages about fall fashion, and it feels like summer has barely begun! I’m still reaching for my favorite maxi dresses and tank tops for the weekends, but the fashion world has moved forward — and I usually move forward right along with it. Even though San Francisco weather isn’t entirely summery, I’m still looking forward to fall, when I can start wearing all of the fashion that are appearing now.

I’m a long-time fan of DVF, and while I don’t own any of her dresses (yet), there’s a reason she keeps finding her way into my Coveted Working Look posts! DVF‘s infamous wrap dresses are infamous for good reason: They’re incredibly versatile, flattering on the body and come in a multitude of colors and patterns. There’s truly something for everyone in the DVF line from season to season.

To be honest, I’ve always craved an easy wrap dress that I can throw on on those days when it’s just too hard to come up with an outfit. Aren’t those slip-on styles just the best?

I absolutely love the colors and patterns of the Linda Sweater Wrap dressit’s sophisticated without being too stuffy, clean without being minimalist, and striking without being too in-your-face. I would pair her with nude heels and gold accessories in the summer, and a pair of black boots and a black peacoat in the fall.

Do you own a Diane Von Fursternberg dress? Do you wear it all year round?
