Enter the gladiatorial sandal…in green.

Insert…a work wear dilemma. How does one style a casual sandal with an outfit appropriate for the workplace? Yes, I work in a casual office. So I naturally wore these sandals with shorts and blouses, skirts and tank tops and – as you see below – skinny jeans and tunic tops.

Cute? Yes. Casual? Oh yes. I delayed in posting this blog for ages just because I couldn’t come up with a way to style the sandals with a look that was more professional. Thank you, AEROSOLES (who sent me the shoes for review) for your patience.

Luckily, a mere *ahem* month after wearing the shoes with every casual outfit I had, I realized one glorious morning that the outfit I was wearing would go fantastically with the sandals! Behold:

Skirt: Calvin Klein (similar here)

Blazer: United Colors of Benetton (similar here)

Camisole: H&M

Belt: Abigail Glaum Lathbury (currently on sale - I advise you don’t miss out on this one!)

Sandals: Courtesy of AEROSOLES

Bangles: Henri Bendel

Yes, it would have been easy to pair this outfit with black pumps, but the color of the sandals worked perfectly with that of the skirt and belt. They also provided a different texture, so it was a bit of a fun twist to an otherwise typical work outfit. In all honesty, the belt made this outfit happen. The sandals would have made the outfit look – again – too casual. But with the belt, it now looks edgy and fun, while not losing its professionalism.

A bit more about the sandals: The “Yet Another” sandals by AEROSOLES features a rich leather upper with three contrast buckles. Built with a 1 1/2 ” stacked wedge, back zipper entry and of course the cushioning that is to be expected from AEROSOLES. Like I said, I wore these sandals (and still do) a lot! They’re incredibly comfortable and go with practically everything summer-related in my closet.

The difficult part for this post however, was wearing them with a work outfit. I’m glad – and relieved – that I accomplished the task. And I admittedly am wearing them as we speak with a pair of shorts and a button-down blouse. But they still look darn adorable.

I know you like it when I post my outfit photos, but I would like to feature one of yours every once in a while! Share your photo using the hashtag #TWWOutfit on Instagram or Twitter, and I may include you in one of these weekly posts! Come on…strike a pose!
