Since moving from Los Angeles to San Francisco, my style has changed bit by bit. Thanks to being in a new office setting and adjusting to San Francisco’s ever-changing climate, my style has grown up a bit and has more of an edge now. It might just be because I live in a city now, but I’m certainly adjusting to my new preferences.
That being said, I’m still in California, and still a California girl at heart. A local boutique, Marine Layer, that just so happens to have a storefront a few blocks from my apartment, has captured my heart since I moved here almost a year ago.
A bit unstructured and just the perfect amount of cool, Marine Layer’s Indigo Blazer in a study on how to do work wear the Californian way. Made from a Japanese indigo fabric, the Indigo Blazer is absurdly soft and comfortable.
Despite our best efforts, even the most casual lifestyle requires a touch of class from time to time so we’ve got that department covered with our new women’s blazer, perfect for winter layering.
Besides chic, just-right jackets like the Indigo Blazer, Marine Layer also features delicious everyday tops, silk tees, and sturdy cotton button-downs. For weekend wear, they also maxi skirts, dresses, and infinity scarves that I’m coveting for these foggy San Francisco mornings.
The next time you’re in San Francisco, make sure you pop into this San Francisco-grown, San Francisco-made shop. You won’t leave empty-handed, I promise!
