Today’s Coveted Working Look: Louise et Cie ‘Rozza’ Leather Wedge Sandal

by Anne Dreshfield | July 21st, 2014

Last weekend I was perusing Nordstrom and came across a shoe brand I didn’t recognize.

Now, as a long-time Nordstrom customer and lover of shoes, this was surprising to me. More surprising still was that I gravitated toward the shoes like a moth to an extremely bright light, which is to say I dodged customers and salespeople alike to try on these shoes. They were the Louise et Cie ’Rozza’ Leather Wedge Sandal, and I couldn’t get them on my feet fast enough!

I’ve been drawn toward heels like these for the past few months, and it’s most likely because women in my office are wearing these styles as a brief celebration of San Francisco’s mild weather. I love how clean and simple these heels are, with a touch of architectural details that are incredibly flattering to the foot. If you can wear a shoe like this on casual Friday, I’d say go for it – your office wardrobe will thank you, and your coworkers will be furiously searching the internet for similar shoes on their lunch break.

The modified T-strap style of the Rozza sandal gives it a simplified, architectural aesthetic that’s perfected in neutral-hued leather. A go-to wedge for warmer weather.

I did a bit of research and found that Louise et Cie is an off-shoot of Vince Camuto, which didn’t surprise me. I love Vince Camuto and find their brand fits my very skinny feet well; I have several pairs of flats and booties from the line. Who knows, I might just have to add these to my collection!
