Lafayette 148 New York: Trying on the Clothes
As you may remember, our October picks and styles were uploaded to our Lafayette 148 New York Blogger Boutique just last week. Then a realization came to me. I never even tried on an item from Lafayette 148 New York! I decided that wasn’t doing anyone any favors.
This past weekend, I went to the Lafayette 148 New York studio within Saks Fifth Avenue with my PR Manager, Kate Jacobsen. We tried on many outfits, had a lot of fun and came out with some looks that I feel would fit TheWorkingWardrobe closet quite nicely!
Take note – as Kate discovered – if you are around 5’6″ or shorter, try on the petite sizes. All the women’s sizes Kate tried on didn’t fit her frame quite right. However if you are 5’10″ and a size 6 like I am, you will discover that everything fits you. So have a field day and watch your credit card, because with everything I tried on, that bill would have added up quickly.
I must say that if you have the price range to buy luxury, then Lafayette 148 New York is for you. Everything I tried on felt amazing and fit extremely well. I could instantly tell the high quality of the fabrics and how well everything was constructed. I didn’t try any on, but I do want to point out the belts as well. Lafayette 148 New York has some of the most fabulous belts I’ve ever seen – strong, chic and make a statement. If you can’t afford a garment, I’d say start with a belt and go from there. Until then, it’s always fun to play dress-up in the Saks Fifth Avenue fitting room!
