It’s officially fall. The colder weather has arrived, the first leaves are beginning to drop and I’ve pulled my collection of boots out from the back of my closet. And, while the weather grows colder, there’s nothing better than a knitted sweater to snuggle up in and keep you warm at the office.
From cozy, to comfortable, to “body democratic,” you can’t go wrong with adding sweaters to you closet for this season. This past Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York can attest to that. The runway delivered everything sweater from shawls, to color blocking, asymmetrical fits, to turtle-necks and collared crew necks, graphics, mesh, and crochet. Best of all, it seems your cardigans can take the rest of the year off.
I love this ROMWE oversized jumper with batwing sleeves ($44). The loose fit will keep you comfortable while sitting at your desk, and the scooped neckline and vertical stitching on the front add the necessary work-wear sophistication. Wear a camisole under it, so you don’t distract anyone with too much skin. In this gorgeous yellow color it will work perfectly for autumn. I’ve paired this sweater with these Eddie Bauer Mercer Fit cropped pants ($15). They’re wildly flattering, eased through the hip and thigh with a cropped leg. Plus they go well with heels or flats. I’ve glammed this outfit up with this teal symmetric Color pieces pendant necklace ($15).
All in all, a comfortable way to transition into fall, and as usual all for under $100!
