A statement blazer needs to stand out enough to earn the descriptor of “statement”, however it also needs to be able to go with enough other items in your wardrobe to be worth the purchase. I am among those that have several of these items hanging in my closet, and every time I pick them out and try them on with my outfit, they just don’t seem to quite work. Well, I feel these blazers may be kicked out of the closet to make room for one that I’d actually wear. Such as this gorgeous structured option available in a stunning cobalt blue.
Made of silk and spandex, this blazer is light enough in weight and structured in a way that will flatter your figure while not adding bulk. I adore the slight cut-out detailing in the front and slight ruffle in the back. Both architectural and feminine. And that color?! What a gorgeous blue; it will definitely be the focal point of your outfit. I’d pair it with a pencil skirt and camisole or light silk blouse. It also would look great with wide-leg trousers and a fitted longer tunic – both solid. This blazer doesn’t need any help so keep the outfit simple, but don’t be afraid of adding a statement long gold chain necklace for some added “oomph”.
