The blazer, the blazer, the blazer…and maybe sometimes the cardigan. That extra layer can be such a pain! Sometimes, to get the most out of that layer, it can be best to use it as a focal point. That’s where the light jacket comes into play. I love wearing jackets as blazers as they come in more variety of cuts and styles. It gives you more options to “play” while still providing the coverage you need at the office. Plus in the spring and fall, you don’t need to add that other outdoor jacket. I believe in minimizing that commuting load.
I recall a black belted jacket with bright pink lining by Tommy Hilfiger “H”, that I used to wear when I worked in retail back in the day. I wore that jacket almost daily. For the grown-up version, I feel this Bouchra Jarrar jacket will do quite nicely.
