It’s no secret that I wear nail polish all the time – I often do a manicure once or twice a week. I find it’s relaxing and a fun thing to do while I’m catching up on a TV show or relaxing with friends. So when Venique Nail Lacquer asked if they could send a polish from their newest collection for me to try, I jumped at the chance!
Available to consumers for the first time, Venique Nail Lacquer is a professional polish that has more sheen and staying power than most polishes on the market. Venique is special because it is truly a one-coat polish.
I tried out “Up Your Glow,” a bubble-gum pink with a hint of mauve. This color actually looks a bit more purple in the bottle than on the nails, and has a beautiful, creamy finish. “Up Your Glow” is a shade from the new Be Brilliant collection, new for fall 2014.
I found Venique’s brush to be a bit thicker than what I’m used to – some of my nails were covered with one brush stroke! I personally prefer thinner brushes to give me more control, but that’s entirely a personal preference. Vernique’s formula is meant to be long-lasting after one coat, so you’ll expect the nail polish to be thicker, as well. It took a bit of getting used to, and you definitely don’t need two coats. Perfect for a faster manicure for the woman on the go! So far, the staying power is great – check back with me in a week or so for more details!
If you have the chance to try Venique’s Nail Lacquers, go for it! I’m interested in trying the other colors for fall, and “Up Your Glow” is the perfect shade for late summer.
