When you have a name like Lipstick Queen, you have to believe the products are good – no, great. I stopped by Barney’s after work one day last week and found myself in the (stunning, gorgeous, completely distracting) beauty section, marveling over a couple of brands that aren’t carried as widely in other stores. One of those brands was Lipstick Queen, which, if you follow makeup or lip products, you’ll know as an incredible line of lipsticks in colors that will always make you do a double take.
One color in particular stood out to my while I was hovering over the display, and for good reason: it’s the new color for Summer 2014, and it is incredibly beautiful. Dedicated beauty readers, meet Jungle Queen:
“Two things that epitomize glamour in my mind are animal prints and lipstick. And Jungle Queen is a fresh and chic new way to combine the two!” – Poppy King
Oranges are on-trend for spring and summer, and this flattering shade is no exception. It’s described as a papaya coral, and has hints of a warm undertone that will look beautiful on ladies with warmer undertones in their skin. Fair, cool-toned ladies like myself would have to be thoughtful to pair this with the correct eyeshadow and/or blush, but that never stops me!
Jungle Queen is a semi-sheer, moisturizing formula that’s enriched with natural oils and Vitamin E to condition and hydrate the lips. I love the fact that it’s semi-sheer: perfect for a hint of color for the office, when a bold, full-on color would be just a bit too much. Even better, the lipstick was designed to have a hint of sheen and luminescence, specifically to play beautifully against animal prints! Now I’ll ask you this: could it get any better? I think not.
