Though it’s still the middle of summer, fall styles are creeping into online stores, catalogs and even onto retail store racks! Every single year it surprises me to see fall fashions come out early, but since I’ve moved to San Francisco, I’ve come to – dare I say it? – look forward to it. Summer in San Francisco feels more like the rest of the country’s fall weather, with temperatures anywhere in the 40s to 60s and fog in the mornings and evenings. It’s actually perfect weather to dress for, I think. It’s just cold enough that you can enjoy playing with layers, and not so gloomy that it feels odd to wear bright colors or prints.
That being said, the weather can put me in a fall fashion mood – and it can put me there fast! Lately, I’ve been drawn to items that feel a bit more like fall without losing their summery vibe. Banana Republic, one of my favorite stores, captured the mood I’m in perfectly with their Heritage Snake Print Skinny Ankle Pant.
It’s hard to tell from far away, but yes, these pants are indeed snake print. And that’s really what I love about the Heritage Snake Print Skinny Ankle Pant – they’re subtle, chic, and give your outfit just a touch of luxe texture.
I’m currently coveting the paler cream version, though the black are tempting for late fall, early winter. I could see myself wearing the cream color into fall – pairing it with bright peaches and corals now, and transitioning into the cooler weather with oxbloods and emeralds later. I’d also challenge myself to pair these pants with other patterns, since the print on the pants is really a neutral.
Have you ever worn pants with a small, textured print like the Banana Republic Heritage Snake Print Skinny Ankle Pant? I haven’t, but I can’t wait to try them!
