I’ve been shopping with summer in mind, thanks to a coworker’s mid-summer wedding. While I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect pair of shoes (already have the dress, thankfully!), shopping for a summer wedding has had me taking a second look at every colorful, feminine dress I walk by. While the weather here in San Francisco is particularly conducive to wearing those dresses quite yet, I’m eagerly planning my wardrobe for when the temperature starts rising.
Anthropologie’s Galen Dress, which is featured in their April look book, is just my cup of tea right now. A bit loose, a bit feminine, and startlingly bright, the Galen Dress is a wonderful piece to transition from early, wet spring days to warmer months. I would style this dress now with a pair of tights and black boots (gold jewelry is a must, of course!), and shed those items in exchange for wedges in the summer.
Spring calls for something as cheery and lighthearted as the season – a dress that doesn’t take itself too seriously for a pair of shades. We’re pairing this pintucked frock from Maeve with sunny espadrilles and a three-day weekend.
