For those of you who have gotten to know my style as you’ve gone through my blog, you know that ‘simple’ and ‘architecture’ are two of my favorite fashion terms. So it doesn’t come to much surprise that MaxMara and Prada are two of my all-time favorite shows to drool over during Fashion Week. And if you know that, then you definitely won’t be surprised that I’m featuring these two shows from Milan’s Fashion Week!
To start with, not only is this a very fashionable look idea for any office setting, but the skirt…the skirt is what stopped me cold. Purple is one of my favorite colors, and it’s one not often seen in many garments, plus the zipper detailing in the front just made me swoon. Without it, it’d just be a purple leather skirt. With it, you just made a work-appropriate garment the envy of any fashionista!
This season’s MaxMara collection really won me over with the skirts! I adore the pattern on this skirt and the architectural lines of the top really do well to bring some order to the pattern on the bottom. I’ve always been of the opinion that when wearing a skirt, it should be the focal point of the outfit, and MaxMara has it right on the money with this one!
The entire Prada collection was absolutely gorgeous, so it’s funny that I selected just one ensemble and featured at the very beginning of the show. However the whole look really conveyed a lot of stylings I try to convey through TheWorkingWardrobe. This dress is very simple with some very strategic detailing that – and it’s just a lovely look. Paired with the boots, it takes everything to another level! Wear this definitely for a business casual day / Casual Friday (you may want to don some hosiery as well just in case), but it will be one of the most fashionable Casual Friday’s known to colleagues across your office!
