Shop The Mode Collective: Fashion-Forward Footwear

by Emma Klug | September 19th, 2014

Shoes are my absolute favorite fashion item. Whether it’s a fresh pair of heels, loafers, flats or boots – a new pair of shoes can easily upgrade an entire outfit and change my attitude for the better. There’s nothing like the feeling of finally finding the perfect shoes, the ones that can complete an outfit and tie together my style.

Anyway, bad shoe puns aside, as of late I’ve been attempting to upgrade my wardrobe for the fall 2014 season. I’ve already bought quite a few fall-centric pieces including a cozy gray sweater, a black and white flannel and a thick black scarf, but what’s really missing is a good pair of shoes to accompany these great pieces. Throughout my search for the perfect shoe (which has been a lot more daunting then one would I assume) I managed to come across a great online store that is as fashionable as it is practical: The Mode Collective.

Mode Collective is an online Australian shopping destination that features chic footwear and accessories such as small clutches and coin bags. The shop comes out with two collections a year, spring/summer and autumn/winter, and is super fashion forward. My favorite thing about the brand is their ability to tap into the seasons most fashion-forward trends and offer products that are of the moment without being too trendy.

Some of my favorite pieces at Mode Collective right now are the 60s style leopard print pony hair double zip bootie (pictured in the lookbook image above), and the point loafer, ankle strap bootie and “Lunchy” bag below.

All of these items, as fashion forward as they are, are still appropriate for the office, meaning you can get twice as much wear out of them. Plus, because they contain timeless design elements and are made from quality fabric and hardware, they’re able to be worn for many seasons, making the new season shoe search a thing of the past.
