Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. New York. The Helmut Lang Architecturally-Inspired Fall 2010 Collection Fits Perfectly Within the Strong Working Wardrobe Staples Collections
Architectural and textural are the two words that come to mind when seeing the Helmut Lang Fall 2010 Collection showcased during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Nicole and Michael Colovos designed their collection with very stark lines and angles, causing the clothing to stand erect with power and sophistication – garb that would work well in many-a working woman’s wardrobe. Most of the collection concentrated on the black and white contrast, however a few pieces strongly conveyed more texture than lineage as if inspired by a water-washed and sun-baked boulder. No matter the inspiration, this collection easily works the ‘can never go wrong’ business staple sector – if only my staples looked this good!
