Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. New York. Michael Kors Thought Outside of Black With His Fall 2010 Collection

by Rachel | February 19th, 2010

There’s something to be said for the color of ‘camel’. It’s very glamorous and goes with just as much variety of color and accessory as does black. I haven’t seen much of it during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week as most of the designers have stuck with the darker classic, however it definitely dominated the runway at the Michael Kors show. No complaining here of course! The light tawny-colored gown I feel is one of those garments that can be pulled off with much style and pomp during the work day but is just as elegant as a little black dress, making the work to evening transition quite seamless. A black gown during the workday, however, may be difficult to pull off unless you are working in a cocktail lounge. And men, yes I know I’ve ignored you for most of Fashion Week, so I’m excited to share some fantastic working looks with you as well that Kors brought forth! Even men can really work it on the runway; and I think I’ll know what my male friends will be getting for holiday gifts come Fall!
