I am quite biased I admit as Elie Tahari is the designer who ushered me into the world of fashion – not Tahari personally sad to say, but rather a knee-length black hardware-adorned jacket from one of his Fall collections in the early Millennium. I was a lowly sales associate at Bloomingdale’s department store and that coat turned me from fashion worker to fashion addict (and even with the employee discount it still ate into my grocery budget – but it was of course totally worth it). I still have the jacket and am stopped regularly with people awash with compliments, and every season I eagerly await to see what Tahari will usher forth for even more gushing. And this season, he did not disappoint. Personally, the combination featured with the red turtleneck and copper skirt I can see donning for just as many years as my jacket. Now just to reexamine my grocery budget.
