Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. New York. BCBG Max Azria Works Popping Layers for Fall 2010

by Rachel Yeomans | February 11th, 2010

Next fall and winter is going to be a season of layers according to BCBG Max Azria – however not a season of gray on grays or black on blacks. Max and Lubov Azria showed that dark neutrals needn’t be monochromatic. The mixture of blues, popping golds, hunter greens and various textures draped across the models complimenting the heather gray and charcoal blacks (many even showcasing a fitted sheer black turtleneck under halter necklines and strapless shifts). The ensemble creations showcased a fantastically creative fashion palette, inspiring many a future out-of-the-box work look ahead of me – and hopefully yours as well. We may not be able to throw in the gunmetal sequins at the office, but who said we couldn’t keep it with us and throw it over our working look before heading out to cocktail hour?
