Phillip Lim didn’t just steer clear from the safety of black that many designers concentrated on this season, but he went with other color standards and played with their texture. For example, he added pattern to pair of simple dark blue gray pants and instead of featuring a basic white top, he added ruffles to it or a coat with white fur spilling out of its lining (I got instantly warmer just looking at it!). Even the classic trench shown below had fur detailing on the collar – as chilly as this Fashion Week has been, I’m happy that at least the models are warm!
