London fashion week had a decidedly casual and ready-to-wear vibe – the looks can translate directly to your closet! A notable development: designers and the front-row VIPs have decided flats are the way to go this season! ¬†That’s good news for those of us who have ¬†long walks on the commute to work. We saw a lot of loose and flowing fabrics, boxy tops, and graphic prints on the runways. Read on for the hottest trends straight from London Fashion Week that you can wear to the workplace!

I put together several trends in the above look. I began with a striped wrap dress – I love that it has the mixed-stripe look without any additional effort. To represent the blue trend at London fashion week, I gathered accessories in various shades of blue. (Tip: The different blues won’t look unintentional as long as you have 3+ pieces.) And the shoes are patent leather to bring in the shine trend. And there you go, a work-appropriate look that incorporates some of the latest trends from London!

Shine doesn’t have to be reserved for the nighttime! Satin and patent leather are work-appropriate and give your outfit visual interest and a luxe feel.

Cyan, cornflower, cerulean, sky … blues of all shades! Calming like the sea or bright like the sky, blue can be used as an accent color or as the base of an outfit. The possibilities are endless! Looking for the perfect way to wear this trend? We recommend this gorgeous structured cobalt blue blazer!

We saw lots of mixed stripes in New York, and the stripe trend continued in London. Featured in two fashion weeks? Graphic stripes are definitely in! The designers played with everything from all-over pajama style to mixed and asymmetrical, all in various colors.

Hello curved color blocking! Out go the ‘blocks’ of color blocking, and in come circles and gentle curves of overlapping color. The bright blues and oranges are an easy way to bring the sporty trend to the office.
